BSP chief Mayawati has suspended Madhya Pradesh lawmaker Rambai and banned her from party functions for supporting the Citizenship Amendment Act. Mayawati, who has been strongly criticising the new law, tweeted on Sunday that BSP is a disciplined party and it takes prompt action against its MP and MLAs who break discipline. Rambai spoke in support of the new law at a function in her constituency Patheriya in presence of Union Minister Prahlad Patel.
