Jan 14, 2021 13:16 IST

The Chennai police have filed a case against 10 theatres screening Vijay-starrer 'Master' for not adhering to the state government's 50% occupancy norm due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Reports are the MGR Nagar Police station registered a case against theatres under IPC sections 188 & 269 for their negligent act likely to spread disease dangerous to life and disobedience to an order duly promulgated by a public servant. Theatres were also reportedly slapped a fine of ₹ 5,000 each.
