Manmohan: state of economy is a reflection of state of its society

Former Prime Minister and noted economist Manmohan Singh on Friday hit out at the government over the dismal GDP figures saying "mere changes in economic policies will not help revive the economy. He also pointed out that a toxic combination of deep distrust, pervasive fear, sense of hopelessness in society is stifling economic activity and growth.
