English Premier League leaders Manchester City narrowly avoided an embarrassment as they sneaked a 2-1 win over German club Borussia Dortmund in the 1st leg of the quarterfinal tie in the Champions League. After an early goal from Kevin de Bryune, it looked like Manchester City would steal a 1-0 win but their German challengers had some other plans. 84th min into play, Dortmund equalised through a crucial away goal from Marco Reus. With the match slipping out of their hands, City rallied back to score a winner courtesy Phil Foden in the 90th min of play. Despite a 2-1 win at home, City will be disappointed as they let through a crucial away goal which might haunt them in the 2nd leg of the tie.
