As West Bengal deals with the dual impact of the coronavirus pandemic and Cyclone Amphan, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has warned her party workers against corruption in ration distribution system. Quoting a TMC MP, the Hindustan Times reported that Bengal CM wants her cadre to leave relief work to the administration and not politicise it. She has also warned that strict action will be taken against anyone involved in corruption. Mamata's comments came at a virtual internal meeting of the TMC which was held on the heels of BJP announcing their campaign for elections in the state next year. The TMC chief has asked her cadre to intensify their political campaign on social media and on the ground highlighting achievements of her govt in the past 9 years.
