A meeting between the three union ministers and leaders of 36 farmer unions remained inconclusive on Tuesday with the two sides deciding to meet again on Thursday to resolve the crisis. Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Piyush Goyal, Som Parkash are part of the government team who met the farmers at the Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi. Reportedly, the farmers' representatives turned down the Centre's second pitch for a committee to discuss the contentious farm laws, protests against which are intensifying by the day. After the meeting, Agriculture minister Tomar said the meeting was good and government wanted a small group to be constituted but farmers' leaders wanted that the talks should be held with everyone. The farmers have been campaign at the Delhi borders for the sixth consecutive day to demand complete withdrawal of contentious farm laws.
