In a major blow to an already down and out New Zealand, their fast-bowling trio of Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry has been ruled out of the ODI series against India as none of them managed to recover from their respective injuries in time. All 3 pacers had suffered injuries during New Zealand's 3-match Test series vs Australia in December last year. There was some delight in the Kiwi camp though as Tom Latham who broke his finger in the 3rd Test has been cleared to play. The 3-match ODI series starts from next week.
