Mahindra recalls 600 diesel vehicles in India

Jul 21, 2021 20:06 IST

Mahindra & Mahindra has issued a recall for around 600 diesel vehicles manufactured at its Nashik facility due to contaminated fuel. In a regulatory filing, the automaker said that the factory had received contaminated fuel on a particular date, which was filled in a select batch of vehicles that is suspected to cause wear and tear on certain diesel engine parts. The affected vehicles were manufactured between June 21 to July 2, 2021. However, Mahindra has not disclosed details about the models or diesel engines affected by this recall. The automaker will carry out the inspection and repairs free of cost, and will individually contact the affected customers. Mahindra manufactures the Thar, Scorpio, Bolero, Marazzo and the XUV300 at its Nashik facility.
