The new Mahindra eKUV100 electric offering will be launched in the market in the next three months. Dr. Pawan Goenka, Managing Director - Mahindra & Mahindra confirmed the development on the sidelines of the recently launched Treo Zor electric three-wheeler. The new eKUV100 was launched at the 2020 Auto Expo in February at a price of Rs. 8.25 lakh, ex-showroom, India. However, the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown delayed the arrival of the model at showrooms. The new eKUV100 will be targeted at both fleet operators and private buyers, but the company said that its focus will be on the commercial passenger car segment. The Mahindra eKUV100 will draw power from a 40 kW electric motor that belts out 53 bhp and 120 Nm of peak torque. The car will come with a 15.9 kWh lithium-ion battery offering a range of 120 km on a single charge.
