Hours after Maharashtra's vaccine SOS to the Centre, Covid-19 vaccination was stopped in Maharashtra's Satara - late Wednesday night after district authorities ran out of doses, NDTV has reported quoting the Chief Executive Officer of the Satara Zilla Parishad. So far around 2.6 lakh people over the age of 45 in Satara have received at least one dose each.

State Health Minister Rajesh Tope had flagged the issue of vaccine shortage to the Centre and had said that Maharashtra only had stcoks for three days.
Union health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, however, denied any shortage and blamed the state govt for management. He also said that state govts attempt to distract was "deplorable".
