As rains continue to lash Maharashtra, at least 15 people died after a wall collapsed at an under-construction site in Pune’s Kondhwa area. While rescue operations were immediately launched, officials have blamed the construction firm of negligence. The deceased were from Bihar and West Bengal and were working as labourers. Meanwhile in Chembur a wall collapsed on parked auto rickshaws but not was hurt in the incident. The weatherman has predicted heavy rainfall in Mumbai, Thane and around western coast.
