Lucknow hospital raids: No doctors, drugs or licences just beer found in fridge

Jul 20, 2021 17:04 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Multiple raids conducted by 6 teams of heath department and local administration on 45 private hospitals in Lucknow have exposed the state of the healthcare facilities in the city.

Some hospitals did not have any doctor present, some were running on expired licences, according to news reports. Officials even found beer bottles in the refrigerator of a operation theatre in Tulsi Trauma Centre. The hospital neither had doctors nor a valid licence. According to news reports, investigating teams found that a B.Sc graduate was treating patients in a hospital on Sitapur Road in Lucknow.

A notice has been issued to 29 hospitals for negligence and carelessness.
