A horrific double murder has shocked Lucknow residents. Uttar Pradesh police first got reports of the crime at about 3:30 pm on Saturday. Police say that the daughter of the railway official, a student of Class 10, killed her mother and brother in Gautampalli colony area.
Police officials revealed that the girl is a national level shooter and led them to the murder weapon herself, adding that her mental state is unstable The girl's father, is posted in Delhi as Executive Director of the Railway Board.
According to investigators, she fired the first bullet at the glass in the family's bathroom, before firing a second bullet at her 45-year-old mother and the third at her brother Sharad, aged 20. Her brother was reportedly shot in the head.
Police officials also found several cuts on her arms along with a razor she used to injure herself.
Cops confirmed that both victims were shot dead inside their own homes where their bodies were found. They added that the girl is depressed and will be sent to a juvenile home.
