Lok Sabha Polls Phase 4: Voter turnout at 62.5%

The voter turnout in phase 4 of the Lok Sabha elections stood at 62.5% till 8:30pm. In Bihar 58.92% voters exercised their franchise, while in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Maharashtra, turnouts were in the range of 51-66%. West Bengal, like every other phase, recorded the highest voter turnout with 76.6%. The turnout in the sensitive state of Jammu & Kashmir was low at 9.79%.
