Voting for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections is being held on 72 constituencies across nine states. The first three phases have seen polling in 303 of the 543 seats. A total of 963 candidates from across parties are testing their luck. Of the 72 seats, the BJP had won 45 - all 13 of Rajasthan, 12 out of the 13 going to vote in Uttar Pradesh, five in Madhya Pradesh, three each in Bihar and Jharkhand, eight in Maharashtra and one in West Bengal.

Only two other states in India, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan, have recruited transgender people in the police forces.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel tweeted congratulating the selected candidates and wished them luck. The Chhattisgarh&nbsp;government was the first state to conduct workshops to train&nbsp;transgender&nbsp;people and take in applications.
The apex court in 2014 recognised the transgender community as the third gender and ruled that they too have fundamental rights.&nbsp;
