After recent news that LG is shutting down its mobile business division, the company has announced that it will provide three years of software updates for its premium Android phones released in 2019 and later. This applies to phones in the G series, V series, the LG Velvet, and the LG Wing, which will get updates for 3 years from the date of release. LG also note that certain models like the LG Stylo and the K series will receive two OS updates. The company also noted that it will continue to manufacture new phones through the second quarter of this year to meet contractual obligations, and customers can continue to purchase LG devices for the time being.
