RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav was airlifted from Ranchi and admitted to Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Saturday after his health condition worsened. The 72 year old former Bihar Chief Minister has been undergoing treatment for multiple ailments. After having trouble breathing for a couple of days, he was found to have pneumonia on Friday. RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav met Lalu on Friday night and said his father's blood sugar level has shot up while the kidneys are also not functioning properly. He has been admitted to the cardio-neuro centre. Convicted in the fodder scam, the RJD leader has been granted permission for treatment at AIIMS for a month and may be allowed additional duration if needed, according to the Inspector General of Prisons.
