Alaves beat Real Madrid 2-1 at home on Saturday night as 3rd La Liga game without victory for Zinedine Zidane's men left them 4th on the points table. Lucas Perez put Alaves ahead in just the 5th minute as he successfully converted from the spot. Joselu then doubled the lead just after half-time as Real had their backs against the wall. Though Casemiro pulled one back in the 86th minute but it was a little too late to stage a comeback. It was Real's 3rd defeat in 10 games this season, the same as they suffered in 38 outings in their title-winning campaign campaign in 2018-2019.
