'Won't be mute spectator': Guv on Kerala govt moving SC against CAA

Jan 19, 2020 22:08 IST

Miffed over the state government's decision to challenge the amended Citizenship law in  the Supreme Court, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Sunday said he would not remain a "mute spectator" and would ensure that the law of the land is upheld.

According to a PTI report, the governor's office has sought a report from the chief secretary asking why he was not informed about the state's decision to move the apex court.

The Kerala governor has been at loggerheads with the government ever since the state assembly passed a resolution last month, seeking to scrap the Citizenship amendment act.
