Kochi installation highlights menace of plastic pollution

Dec 31, 2019 14:40 IST

Film-maker K.K. Ajith kumar and musician Biju Thomas have created an art installation called The Trap on Fort Kochi beach in Kerala. Made with 1200 discarded PET bottles, it's an interactive sculpture that people can enter and visualise themselves trapped inside it. From a distance, the 25-feet sculpture looks like a giant plastic bottle. It aims to create awareness on how our water bodies are choking with plastic waste.
