Celebrating the 70th anniversary of logophile favorite, Scrabble, Nigel Rogers from New Zealand came away with the World Scrabble Champion title in London. Spanning seven days, hundreds of Scrabble-lovers gathered for the 36 game championship, ending in Rogers' victory. Along with the title, he won an 8,000 dollar prize. U.S. player Jesse Day was runner-up.
