Social media users in China and South Korea have found themselves in a new tussle and this time over the ownership of popular Asian dish Kimchi, which is a spicy pickle dish primarily made using cabbage and radish and is a known as a Korean cuisine staple. Global industry standards body ISO recently posted new regulations for the making of pao cai, a type of Chinese fermented veggie dish. Chinese media heralded the achievement as the 'international standard for Kimchi industry,' but the celebration did not sit well with Korean media, who quickly disputed the claim.
