Khawaja & Stoinis lose Cricket Australia contracts

Apr 30, 2020 13:19 IST

Usman Khawaja and Marcus Stoinis have lost their Cricket Australia contracts after falling out of favour with the national selectors. 33-year-old Khawaja has not played a Test match for the Aussies since being dropped after the third Test against England last August and it is the first time in 5 years that the southpaw has missed out a central contract. Apart from them, Peter Handscomb, Marcus Harris, Shaun Marsh and Nathan Coulter-Nile have also missed out on the new deal. However, Marnus Labuschagne, Ashton Agar, Joe Burns, Mitchell Marsh, Kane Richardson and Matthew Wade have been included in the annual list of elite 20 courtesy their fine show in the last year.
