Kerala: youth Cong lands in trouble after 'purifying' act

Jul 29, 2019 13:46 IST

The Youth Congress in Kerala has landed itself in a controversy after its members allegedly 'purified' the spot where Dalit CPI MLA Geetha Gopi sat during a sit-in protest on Saturday. Immediately after the MLA left the spot, the youth Congress members used cow-dung mixed with water, purportedly to 'clean it'. A case under the SC/CT (Prevention of Atrocities) Act has been filed against the group.
