BJP's Yediyurappa on Monday won the floor test in Karmataka Assembly with a voice vote. The disqualification of a total of 17 MLAs, had tilted the scales in BJP's favour in the Assembly with the effective strength of House coming down to 208 from 225. That brought down the majority mark to 104, giving the BJP with 105 MLAs a clear edge. The losers in this whole episode are the Congress, JDS rebels who were hoping get plum posts in the new BJP govt. Some of the disqualified MLAs have now moved the Supreme Court against their disqualification. Speaking in the Assembly, Yediyurappa said that he believed in the principle of forgive and forget, and will not work the intention of vendetta.
