The new ministers inducted into the Karnataka cabinet after its latest reshuffle have been allocated portfolios, and Karnataka's Deputy chief minister G Parameshwara has had to part with the much-coveted Home portfolio. It has now been allocated to Siddaramaiah loyalist MB Patil. Reports say Parameshwara was not willing to give up the Home Department but did it only after a nudge from Rahul Gandhi.
