Bollywood stars hoisted the respected national flag of the nation at their homes and some of them also changed their social media profile pictures to the tricolor as per the call by the Prime Minister of India. Sharing a video of flag hosting, Shah Rukh Khan given a glimpse of his residence Mannat as he hoisted the National flag with his family.   Salman Khan’s residence Galaxy Apartment can also be seen being in touch with patriotism with the tricolour as captured by the paparazzi.   Kartik Aaryan who visited the Indian Navy officers ahead of Independence Day hoisted the tricolour at his house. Besides this, several celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Shilpa Shetty, Hrithik Roshan and many others also joined the campaign and hoisted the National flag at their home. Kangana Ranaut, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgan among others are those who have changed their social media profile picture to tricolour and showed their support for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

The actor took to social media and posted a video of him unfurling the flag along with his family sans daughter Suhana Khan. His wife and interior designer Gauri Khan also shared a picture of their pre-Independence Day celebrations on her social media handle.
SRK, Aryan, and Abram wore white T-shirts. The sons paired the T-shirts with blue jeans, while SRK opted for navy blue cargo pants. Whereas, Gauri donned an off-white blazer with blue jeans for the occasion.&nbsp;

However, actor Adivi Sesh has made a special place in the hearts of his fans after the release of ‘Major’. The film is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred in the 2008 Mumbai attack. For this Independence Day special, Editorji spoke to the actor.
About the character
Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan's indelible contribution and sacrifice will always hold a special place in our hearts. Sesh believes that it's a huge honour to play his character on-screen. ‘I always knew I'd give it my all to play him. I didn't realise that playing him would change me so much as a person. Today, I'm more empathetic and aware of others and their feelings. It is a direct reflection of the process we undertook as I grew to understand Major Sandeep better throughout making this film,’ Sesh notes.

While talking about the film's success, Sesh added, ‘Even by the most materialistic of metrics, Major has been three times bigger than any of my previous achievements. People who previously spoke to me with love now speak to me with a sort of reverence. I'm quick to remind them that the reverence is for Major Unnikrishnan. Plans for 75th Independence Day
This year, on the 75th Independence Day, Adivi Sesh plans to spend time with the defence force. He says, ‘To have spent time with the CRPF…with the NSG and now with the Organisation for Counter Terrorist Operations (OCTOPUS) for Independence day… I can't help but realise that it has been a lifetime privilege. For this August 15th, I am visiting the OCTOPUS campus, understanding how this force trains, and speaking to them about their life experiences.’
Freedom and independence are two words which have assumed newer meanings with passing generations. When asked about his definition of independence, the actor says, "I want to take this opportunity to speak a little about what it means to 'Love your Country'. The old John F Kennedy quote comes to mind. 'Ask not what country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.' We seem to live in an era where some people consider shouting from the rooftops about how we are superior as a sense of showing love for your country."
Advice to youngsters
"My advice to our youngsters is how I perceive Major Sandeep's philosophy. To truly internalise this and reflect on what we can do to improve our country. That would be the true meaning of Love Your Country," he concludes.

With the help of 300 women he rebuilt the damaged landing strip in 72 hours. 
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019)The Krish Jagarlamudi and Kangana Ranaut directorial, is based on the life of India’s freedom fighter Rani Lakshmi Bai, also known as Manikarnika. Kangana Ranaut played the titular role in the film, which chronicled the journey of Rani Laxmibai from childhood to becoming the Queen of Jhansi. It also highlighted how she led a war against the East India Company and their unethical practices. 
Kesari (2019)Starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra, ‘Kesari’ is based on the battle of Saragarhi in 1897. Akshay Kumar played the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, a soldier in the British Army, who led 21 Sikh soldiers in a fight against an Afghan army of 10, 000 men. 
Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran (2018)John Abraham featured as army officer Ashwat Rana, who was in charge of an operation to develop and test nuclear weapons without letting the American Intelligence agencies know. The film is based on the true story of India's 1998 Pokhran nuclear test. It shows how our country gained worldwide recognition as full fleged nuclear state. 
Raazi (2018)Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Raazi’, starring Alia Bhatt, is a spy thriller based on Harinder Sikka’s 2008 novel ‘Calling Sehmat’. The film revolves around Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent who married a Pakistani military official to get valuable piece of information for the country.

'Kabir Singh' actress Kiara Advani defends film

Actress Kiara Advani&nbsp;who plays the role of Preeti&nbsp;in 'Kabir&nbsp;Singh'&nbsp;has finally opened up on allegations of her last film being misogynistic and said that the film was a love story between two dysfunctional people, and she didn't judge the film. Talking about the film Kiara said the film mirrors brutal realities of life and everyone is entitled to their opinion. However no one is asking anyone to be like Preeti or Kabir as they are extremely flawed characters.

Taapsee Pannu is glad that her sports biopic ‘Shabaash Mithu’ is trending on Netflix. The film released last month but did not perform well at the box office. The film is doing well on the OTT platform where it has released recently.  The movie is based on the life of cricketer Mithali Raj. It has even left behind Alia Bhatt’s Darlings and is trending on number 1 position on Netflix in India. Taapsee posted ‘Thank you everyone, theatre mein na sahi, OTT pe toh pyaar mila. Aur kaafi bumper opening lagi hai yahan toh (At least the movie received love on OTT, if not in the theatres. And it’s a bumper opening here.)’ The multitalented actor also expressed gratitude stating how hard work never goes unnoticed. The movie is directed by Srijit Mukherji and was released on 15th July 2022. It depicts the life of Mithali Raj and the ups and downs of her life.  Taapsee had earlier also shared how excited and happy she was with the digital release of the film. The actor believed that the movie will ‘inspire other young girls and women to follow their dreams and passion in sports.’
