Julius Caesar's assassination spot to become a tourist attraction

Feb 27, 2019 16:17 IST

The symbolic site in Rome where Julius Caesar was assassinated will be open to the public by 2021. The complex, which is home to four temples, the Senate House and the Theater of Pompey, has been off-limits for visitors since the 1920s. Restoration work in collaboration with fashion brand Bulgari, will pave the way for a museum, walkways and lights for night time visits. The site also holds immense value for being the oldest 'open air' spot in Rome.
