Japanese technologist designs 3D printable ventilators

Dr Naoyuki Ishikita, technology chief of the National Hospital Organisation, Japan has designed an innovative ventilator that can be manufactured using 3D printing. Called the 'Minimum Ventilator', the product is simple and will be much more cost-effective according to the technologist. Dr. Ishikita worked with IIT-Delhi team and tech firm Infobridge Holdings to create the ventilator prototype using plastic material that is used in 3D printing. Speaking to YourStory, Infobridge Holdings CEO said they are ready to share the 'data and knowledge' of this product so that people can 3D print ventilators everywhere.
