Yakitori, a Japanese type of skewered chicken kebabs will soon make their way to space! Japan's Space agency cleared the food item for astronaut meals. A canned version of the charbroiled chicken usually served on skewers with a variety of spices, has just won a certification for consumption on the International Space Station. But instead of the skewers, the kebabs will have to be eaten from cans. Japanese astronauts will not only be able to get their hands on yakitori kebabs, but also on other items like ramen noodles and seaweed soup.
