The Japanese billionaire who was searching for a 'life partner' to accompany him to the Moon has called off the contest. Yusaku Maezawa had earlier announced that he would fly himself, his girlfriend and some artists on SpaceX's maiden tourist flight around the Moon to shoot a matchmaking documentary. He shared in a series of tweets that due to personal reasons he will not be participating in the show anymore. Almost 28,000 women had applied, but he shared that he was experiencing "mixed feelings" about the show. Maezawa still plans to make the trip to space in 2023 - without a partner.
