Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said that strict action will be taken against the suspect who opened fire near the Jamia university injuring a student. The Home Minister wrote on Twitter that he has spoken to the Police Commission and instructed him to take strict action. Also that the Centre will not tolerate any such incident and the culprit will not be spared. Earlier in the day, a man was detained after he fired at ant-CAA protesters near the Jamia University. The entire incident unfolded despite a huge contingent of armed policemen, in riot gear, standing just metres away from the man.
