Jamaican residents divided over Bolt's no-mask birthday bash

Aug 26, 2020 19:25 IST

Jamaican residents have been divided ever since the news of sprinter Usain Bolt contracting Covid-19 after his no-mask birthday party went viral. The 8-time Olympic gold medalist was seen on video at a large party not wearing a mask or practising social distancing. While someone said that Bolt should be charged, a few people also defended him by saying that Jamaican culture is not used to being locked inside for an extended period of time.
