Jama Masjid in Delhi re-opens on July 4

After a long wait of about 4 months, Delhi's iconic Jama Masjid will finally re-open its doors for namaaz or congregational prayers from July 4. With the surge in coronavirus cases in the capital, Jama Masjid had was closed for over 4 months since March. Though it did reopen briefly on June 8 after Unlock 1.0 relaxations but closed again due to spike in Covid-19 cases. Safety precautions like wearing masks, maintaining social distance and sanitisation of the mosque will be followed strictly, as per the Shahi Imam.
