Depending on safety and other factors, the company plans to test on even younger children afterwards. J&amp;J started testing the vaccine on adults in a 60,000-volunteer Phase III study in late September. Rival drugmaker Pfizer has already begun testing its Covid-19 vaccine on children as young as 12.

26 Covid-19 patients died at the state- run Goa Medical College and Hospital in the early hours of Tuesday.
Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said these fatalities occurred between 2 am and 6 am "which is a fact", but remained evasive about the cause.
Stating that he has sought an investigation by the High Court to find out the exact cause, Rane admitted the shortfall in the supply of medical oxygen at the GMCH as of Monday.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who visited the hospital, said the gap between the "availability of medical oxygen and its supply to Covid-19 wards might have caused some issues for the patients".

The petitioner argued that traffic violation cameras deter drivers in front of ambulances to give way as they fear challans. The court stated that the PIL was filed without any homework.
