What can be a major blow to Team India, an in form Ishant Sharma may miss the 2nd Test vs New Zealand. If reports are to be believed, the ankle injury which the fast bowler suffered during a Ranji Trophy game in January has flared up again. Even though Ishant's injury was expected to take a longer time to heal but he cleared a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and was included in the playing XI for the Wellington Test. Ishant justified his selection with a 5-wicket haul. If he is ruled out of the Christchurch Test, Umesh Yadav is expected to replace him in the Playing XI.
