India's ace bowler Ishant Sharma, who made his Test debut in 2007, is all set to appear for his 100th Test on Wednesday at Motera Stadium when India will take on England in the 3rd Test of the 4 match Test series. The 32-year-old will only be the 2nd Indian pacer to achieve the feat after cricket legend Kapil Dev.
Sharma who has had an impressive journey with the ball recently became the 3rd Indian pacer and 6th Indian bowler to take 300 wickets in the 2nd Test of the ongoing series. In all his 99 Tests, the Delhi-born cricketer has taken 302 wickets at an average of 32.22.
Ahead of the Day and Night Test, Ishant Sharma who played his last ODI in 2016 and T20I in 2013 said that he plays only one format so the World Test Championship is like World Cup to him. If the team reaches the final and then goes on to win it, it will be the same feeling as winning the World Cup, he added.
