The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League can see up to 30-50% seats occupied in the stands by the fans. The UAE Cricket Board confirmed that they are looking to allow the fans in the stadiums at almost half the capacity but with strict guidelines. This will include following social distancing, sanitisation, proper disposal of food & beverage waste & staying away from the cricketers. Earlier IPL Governing Council Chairman Brijesh Patel had left the decision with the hosts. The final decision will come from the local government which could be a major boost for not just the BCCI but also for the franchises as tickets sold during the games can bring in a lot of revenue.
