IPL 2021: Rishabh Pant to continue as Delhi Capitals' skipper for the UAE leg

  • Pant was named skipper in 2021 as Iyer was ruled out due to injury
  • DC was on the top with 6 wins when IPL was postponed midway

Delhi Capitals on Thursday announced that Rishabh Pant will continue as their captain for the remainder of the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League. Pant was appointed as DC captain for the 2021 season as Shreyas Iyer was ruled out of the cash-rich league due to a shoulder injury. But despite Iyer having recovered, the Delhi franchise has decided to stick with Pant in the lead role.

Delhi Capitals is currently on top of the points table with 6 wins from 8 matches, and will resume their IPL campaign against the Sunrisers Hyderabad September 22 when the league resumes in the UAE.
