'Insults Hindu deities': Bajrang Dal burns copy of Kama Sutra in Gujarat

Aug 29, 2021 15:26 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Bajrang Dal members burnt a copy of the Kama Sutra outside a bookstore in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad saying that the book insults Hindu deities by showing them in ‘vulgar positions’.

A video made inside the bookstore is doing rounds on the internet. In the video a Bajrang Dal member is seen showing illustrations in the book and alleging that ‘Hindu deities in vulgar positions’ are being shown.

The group members then go outside the shop and set the book on fire while showing slogans.

Further the Bajrang Dal members also threatened the store owner that if the sale of the book continues, they will burn the store down.

Kama Sutra, written in Sanskrit by ancient Indian philosopher Vatsyayana, is the most celebrated treatise on love and sex.
