INDvsAUS: Covid-19 forces major changes in Aus squad

Nov 18, 2020 10:28 IST

Due to the recent Covid-19 outbreak in Adelaide and the resulting closure of some state borders, Cricket Australia decided to fly the players and staff involved in the ODI and T20 series against India to Sydney earlier than planned. While Kane Richardson has withdrawn from both limited overs series to be with his wife and new born son, the Covid-19 cluster has led to 3 extra players being added to the Aussie training group in Sydney. Andrew Tye has replaced Richardson, while Josh Philippe and D'Arcy Short will also train with the group before joining their respective BBL sides. The remainder of Australia's white-ball squad are due to assemble in Sydney on Sunday.
