The Indian Railways has been at the forefront of the battle against Covid-19 much like healthcare professions and the police! The Railway Emergency Cell for Covid-19 has been responding to nearly 13,000 queries, requests and suggestions a day from its platforms, including helpline numbers and social media handles, according to a PTI report. The emergency unit comprises of 400 officers from the Railway Board and Railway Division. The statement, released by the national transporter, also added that most of the queries were answered on a one-on-one basis in the local language of the caller.
