India sets daily Covid-19 vaccination record, 50 crore have got first jab so far

India on Tuesday set daily Covid-19 vaccination record with over 1 crore doses administered across the country. 

Setting a new milestone in India’s inoculation drive, Union minister for health and family welfare Mansukh tweeted that 1.09 crore vaccine doses were administered till 6 pm on Tuesday. 

Earlier on August 27, India had for the first time administered over 1 crore doses in a single day.

Meanwhile, Mandaviya also said that 50 crore people have received their first dose of the vaccine so far against Covid-19.
