India's Covid count crosses 11mn mark with 14k+ cases in 24 hours

India's Covid-19 count crossed the 11 million mark as the nation recorded 14,199 new virus cases as per Health Ministry's data released on Monday.

83 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, pushing India's total death tally to 1,56,385. The number of active cases has risen to 1,50,055.

The statistics further show that over 74% of the active cases are concentrated in states of Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir. With 10,699,410 people cured, the national recovery rate now stands at 97.21%.
