The Health Ministry in its daily briefing on the Covid-19 situation in India told reporters that the recovery rate in the country has shown positive trends.
Rajesh Bhushan, Secretary in the Ministry of Health said India's recovery rate was 7.85% in April and in July it is 64.4%.
The govt said Covid-19 recoveries have crossed one-million mark in India, adding that this landmark recovery has been achieved because of the selfless work and dedication of our doctors, nurses and frontline workers.
The govt added that 16 states in India have shown a recovery rate that is more than the national average. Of these, Delhi has recovery rate of 88%, Ladakh 80%, Haryana 78%, Assam 76%, Telangana 74%, Tamil Nadu & Gujarat 73%, Rajasthan 70%, MP 69% and Goa 68%.
