In a point by point rebuttal to Pak PM Imran Khan's speech at the United Nations General Assembly, First Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs Vidisha Maitra asked if Pakistan could deny the fact that it provides refuge to 130 UN-designated terrorists and 25 terror entities listed by the United Nations. She asked if Imran Khan himself could deny that he was an open defender of Osama bin Laden. On the issue of Kashmir, she said that Indians don't need anyone to speak on their behalf.
"The mainstreaming of Jammu & Kashmir, as well as Ladakh, in India’s thriving and vibrant democracy with a millennia-old heritage of diversity, pluralism and tolerance is well and truly underway. Irreversibly so"
"Citizens of India do not need anyone else to speak on their behalf, least of all those who have built an industry of terrorism from the ideology of hate".
