BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly on Friday confirmed that the 2020 Asia Cup that is set to start in September will be held in Dubai so that both India and Pakistan have a chance of competing in the tournament. Pakistan was originally nominated as the host for the event, but after BCCI made it clear that the national team will not travel to Pakistan, the venue has been shifted to Dubai. BCCI had made it clear that it has no problem with Pakistan hosting the event as long as it is held at a neutral venue. India and Pakistan have not engaged in a bilateral series since the 2012-2013 season. However, contradicting Ganguly's statement, PCB chief Ehsan Mani on Saturday said that there is no final decision on Dubai being the venue and the decision will be taken keeping in mind the interest of all Asian countries.
