India's cybersecurity agency issues advisory after OnePlus data breach

Nov 27, 2019 19:06 IST

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) issued an advisory for OnePlus smartphone users, asking them to change their account passwords. This comes after OnePlus disclosed a security breach in which the cybersecurity agency claims, 'less than 3,000 Indian customers' orders were exposed, including name, email and shipping address. The company has clarified that the payment card, bank account details and passwords are safe. OnePlus suffered a similar security breach in January last year when hackers gained access to the data of nearly 40,000 users.
