You may have heard about airline miles and loyalty points from hotels but the island nation of Maldives is taking it a step further. The Maldives is set to become the first country in the world to have its own hospitality loyalty program. Called 'Maldives Border Miles' program, it is directed at tourists and will reportedly have three tiers named Abaarana, Antara and Aida. Tourists will earn points based on the number of visits and duration of stay. Additional points will be awarded for visits to celebrate special occasions, the official Maldives Immigration Twitter revealed.
