The visit of a EU parliamentary panel to J&K on Tuesday is already garnering sharp reactions from all quarters. Iltija Mufti, tweeted from the handle of her mother and former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti, saying, "Hope they get a chance to speak to the people, local media, doctors and civil society members. The iron curtain between Kashmir and the world needs to be lifted and the government must be held accountable for pushing J&K into turmoil." Kashmir has been under a communication lockdown since the government abrogated Article 370. While postpaid mobile service and landline services were resumed after over 70 days, there are still a number of restrictions including Section 144 which are in place in the Valley.
